Today my daughter, Jo, came home from college and asked me what time was the tide today.
Great Minds think alike! The sun was out, the wind was a gentle breeze, the sea was a beautiful blue and the tide was 6pm!
So we went for a superb sail.
We practiced our gybes, tacks, rounding marks, beating upwind using the compass, surfing the waves on the reach and just enjoying ourselves. It was great!
Tomorrow evening I plan on taking my son Jon out for a practice as he will be crewing for me this weekend. The sun is forecast to be out again and it should be another good sail.
The sad thing is that the weather forecast for the weekend is rain. Again.
